Deviantart is a fairly big website, so you'd think they could afford developers who can make a really neat website. They can't. Twitch.tv is even bigger, but it seems they can't do it either. Pixiv is also huge especially in Japan, but they're possibly the worst of all. All these websites have one thing in common: they are insanely heavy weight and laggy. My entire web browser is freezing when I'm just scrolling around. Consider for a moment what exactly the website is doing when you scroll down the page. For the most part it does nothing except move the page down, and at some point it loads a bunch of images with text, maybe a couple buttons. That's NOTHING, the website is doing almost literally nothing at all, and my high end computer cannot scroll down this page smoothly. If I open a few images into new tabs in Pixiv, my whole browser feels like it's dying a painful death. Deviantart (like many other modern websites) also doesn't work unless you allow data from multiple websites.
